Apple-Events of other modules than the Finder, e.g. the dock, are now ignored by JoJo. Documents can be opened with a given QuarkXPress version by drag and drop onto its dock icon. Dropping onto a Finder Icon cannot be distinguished from a double click and those documents will be opened with the version of QuarkXPress, which created that document (controlled by JoJo).
JoJo is XTensions Software for QuarkXPress 6/7 and makes it easier to work with both versions of QuarkXPress at the same time regarding the opening of documents by double clicking in the Finder. JoJo checks for the document version and opens it with the according version of QuarkXPress, if possible. Otherwise there is a warning, that the document was created with another version of QuarkXPress and whether it should be opened anyway.
JoJo is delivered in two binaries, one for QuarkXPress 6.1/6.5 and one for QuarkXPress 7.0. To install JoJo you have to copy "JoJo.xnt" into the according XTensions folder and to restart QuarkXPress. A dialog pops up for entering an activation key or to use JoJo in demo mode.
